Original American Indian War Cavalry Kepi

THIS IS A NICE INDIAN WAR KEPI- In great period used condition

This is an all Original American Indian War U.S. Army Cavalry 1972 Style Kepi. The kepi is in great shape for an Indian War cap. The buttons are Eagle buttons from the Civil War period. The leather chinstrap is intact and in good shape, attached with two eagle buttons. On the front is the cross sabers indicating Cavalry, with period 1860's period cross sabers, produced in a brass. This U.S. Army Model 1872 Pattern Kepi is in great shape and color. The kepi is dark blue faded wool with black leather visor. Also included is an original Indian Wars belt, the belt is a U.S. 1872 belt buckle, and clasp. Marked with the armory No. #"2269", and dated "1886". Leather is in great shape and the buckle look fantastic. Attached to the belt is a Indian Wars U.S. model 1873 Trapdoor Springfield Socket Bayonet with US marked scabord. The scabord has a large "US" button and is marked on the back side of the hanger - "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL" and "W.T.G.", Nice bayonet setup.

This is a great piece of history. This cavalry kepi with the belt and bayonet displays real nice, and will make a great addition to any collection or museum. Add this to your fine collection or museum today. - SOLD -
