WWI - U.S. 4th Artillery Division, Officer's Uniform, ID'd Grouping - ORIGINAL RARE -
Original WWI 4th Division Artillery ID'd Officers Grouping
- U.S. WWI 4th Infantry Division "Steadfast and Loyal" -
THIS IS A RARE GROUPING - In great used condition
This is a WW I 4th Division Artillery ID'd Officer grouping of "Capt. H.S. Clarke / 16th F.A,", all original period correct. Grouping includes the following: His 1912 summer Officers uniform, issued khaki cotton tunic and breeches. Tunic has real nice "U.S." and "Artillery" collar devices. Two nice silver "silver pin-back" Captain rank bars on his shoulders. A very nice embroidered and decoratively sewn 4th Division shoulder sleeve insignia, three overseas service chevrons, and three medal ribbon bars, including Victory Metal with three stars. The tunic is in great battle worn shape, has what is most likely mouse damage along the front edge of the button panel, but this is on the button side and is hidden when buttoned up and dressed. The grouping includes the matching summer khaki breeches with several repairs, wear holes and couple of small tears. This uniform was definitely war used and has that been there look and feel to it. Included is his Officers leather ridding boots. His Officers Sam Brown Belt, treasured by all the officers of WWI. His Officers cap, leather map case, mess kit - dated "1918", prayer card from home, and personal canvas kit. This grouping also includes his fantastic painted Army Officers Trunk, real nice period painted with his name and 4th Division.
This is a fantastic original battle used WWI U.S. Artillery Officers grouping, of the 4th Division. These original WWI groupings are getting harder to find in this type condition, and like this one I'd to an officer, they are just getting more rare. This would make a great addition to any fine collection or museum. We do have this officers battle uniform in another grouping, you may want to get both groupings. We will offer a discount on any buyer getting both.
NOTE: THE MANNEQUIN IS FOR DISPLAY ONLY AND NOT PART OF THE GROUP
