THIS HELMET IS OVER 100 YEARS OLD- In great Battle used condition
This all ORIGINAL helmet is a British Brodie manfacterd by Thomas Firth and Son "FKS" manufactures mark, they also used "FS" and "F" on other helmets. This all steel british made "Brodie" helmet was supplied to the US Army in great numbers. The United States needed helmets for the war effort so they purchased some 400,000 Brodie helmets in January 1918 from Britain for deployment. This helmet is all original with all original paint, and with the 77th US Army Division "Statue of liberty" painted on the front, period applied. The interior lining is oilcloth and leather, and the chinstrap is brown leather, there is a old period repair made on the leather strap, and the right side D rings is missing, most the inside neeting is missing. Overall the helmet is in good shape for over 100 years old and battle used condition. This is a nice Battle used condition show piece, that would make any museum or collector proud. These nice WWI pieces don't last, over 100 years old, add it to your collection or museum today. They only go up in value.
