- U.S. WWI Tanker Sergeant's Uniform -
THIS IS A RARE GROUPING - In great used condition
This is a WW I US Tank Corps Sergeant's Uniform Grouping, all original period correct. Grouping includes the following: His issued enlisted 1912 pattern khaki cotton summer tunic. Has "US" disc on right collar and side profile "Tank" disc, Tank Corps insignia on left collar. Has nice composite construction red, yellow, and blue caltrop Tank Corps shoulder insignia on left arm sleeve. His sergeant rank chevrons on both sleeves as is occasionally seen in WWI, but rare. His overseas chevron on lower left arm sleeve. His khaki cotton issued summer M1902 breeches, they are well worn, battle used, some frayed edges and soiled. These are well used battle breeches that still look good overall. Includes web belt and 1911 holster marked - "KEYSTON BROS 1917" , 1911 magazine pouch marked - "MILLS OCT. 1918", original M1917 US Helmet, all original period correct with nice original leather strap and marked - "YU 148" with it's manganese steel original paint. Garrison cap with side profile "Tank" disc, Tank Corps insignia on left front.
Overall this is an excellent overseas U.S. sergeant's original battle used tanker grouping, that took part in "The Great War" and part of the US Tank Corps. These original WWI Sergeant's battle uniform groupings that are battles used and still in great shape are very hard to find. This would make a great addition to any fine collection or museum.
NOTE: THE MANNEQUIN IS FOR DISPLAY ONLY AND NOT PART OF THE GROUP - SOLD
