THIS IS A RARE HELMET- In great Battle used condition
This all ORIGINAL helmet is a M1917 helmet in manganese steel original paint in Marine forest green, with the 6th Marine 2nd. Division painted on the front "Indian Head in a White Star on a Black Shield", Front of the Helmet (Original Paint). The interior lining is oilcloth and leather and the chinstrap is brown leather all intact and in good battle used condition. The helmet is I'd to Paul Meady as indicated in two places on the interior. Research needs to be done on this Marine. One of the nicest complete WWI Marine I'd helmet in existence, clean, intact and all original. For the Marine collector this is the one.
