Original WWII German Luftwaffe Helmet - Double Luftwaffe Eagle Decal
- THIS IS A GREAT HELMET- In Battle Used Condition -
This is an original WWII German Model 35 (M-35) Double Decal Luftwaffe Helmet. This is an excellent example of a smooth, blue / grey finish. The two decals are in great shape and all original to the helmet. The tri-color shield decal is 90% intact and the Luftwaffe Eagle is 85% intact. Helmet stamped with manufactures code mark "SE66" (Sachsische Emallier) on side of the interior. Liner is in good shape, dark brown leather, with normal wear and discoloration from use.The rear inside skirt is marked with the steel lot number "4022". On the back inside rear flange of the shell, next to the lot number, are two small grey paint out spots. I believe this to be period done and was used to paint over the soldiers name. No dents, cracks, splits or extra holes in this helmet.
Liner is all original, dark brown leather, all rivets/split pins and washers intact. Liner is a dated "1938 DPR", stamped on outside band - (D.P.R., over - SHUBERTH WERK , over - BRAUNSCHWEIG, over - 1938). on the other side of the band is stamped - "66nA 58". The chinstrap is all original, with original parts and buckle, no markings.
In all, this is a fantastic example of an early German Luftwaffe Helmet, all original. Would be a great addition to any collection.
