Original WWII Japanese Field or Garrison Cap

THIS IS A NICE FIELD CAP- In great period used condition

This is an all Original WWII Japanese Field or Garrison Cap, olive green colored wool, brown leather chinstrap attached by means of two metal smooth sided prong backed buttons. A yellow wool star is sewn directly to the front of the cap. There are three vent holes on each side of the cap. Cotton thread loops are installed on each side of the cap for the paneled cotton neck sun shield. On the back are three of eyelets are placed for the drawstring, for adjusting the cap. The cap is lined in a white gauze like cotton material. Makers marks and soldiers name can be seen on the inside of the cap markings. A leather brown sweatband is sewn into the inside of the cap. The finish of the Cap is clean and looks great. The sweatband is original and fully intact, made of leather.
