THIS IS A GREAT WWII JAPANESE SWORD - Great Battlefield Use

This is an all Original WWII Japanese officers sword. This was uses in WWII by a Japanese officer, it was taken by a US Marine off the battlefield and brought home. This sword has all the military markings of a WWII Japanese sword, handle guides and guard are made of brass. The handle is covered with Ray skin and has Military Menuki wrapped over with military bindings. The blade however is much older, marked on the tang you can see the old markings. It was told by an expert that he places the blade at over 150 years old. He believed it was a family hand down sword. I don't know if the officer was killed, survived the war, or what happened. It would be great to do more research on this sword.

Great collectors sword with great historical importance. Would make a great display for any fine private collection or a great museum display.
