THIS IS A RARE GROUPING - In great Battle used condition
This is a fantastic original U.S. Army Colonels Field Uniform Grouping. The grouping consists of the following: 1). US M-1 Army Helmet, front seam, swivel bales, lot No. 883E, all original period correct, Capac original liner. 2). M43 original U.S. army field Jacket with his Silver Colonel Full Bird Insignia on each shoulder, with tag. 3). Standard army issued wool pants, dated 1942, with laundry No. inside, and shirt tag. 4). Army issued tactical web belt, marked - "1942". 5). First aid kit, marked "W.L.V.C. INC.", "1942". 6). US canteen flat cap. marked - "U.S.", "A.G.M.CO.", "1942", with cup marked - "U.S.", "M.A.CO", "1941"and cover marked - "Foley MFG. Co.", "1942". 7).1911 Magazine pouch marked - "AVERY" . 8). with cover (Shovel) dated 1942. 9). WWII 1911 leather holster marked - "BOYT", "42". 10). WWII Leather Service Boots, "Buckle Boots". 11). WWII Binoculars marked - eye right side - "BAUSCH & LOMB OPTICAL CO.", "ROCHCHESTER NY", eye left side - "PRISM STEREO 6 POWER", "30mm, APERT", front left side - "SIGNAL CORPS", "U.S. ARMY", Front right side - "Serial No. EE 112005", and Leather Case marked - "D44160" 12). US WWII Map Case, marked - "US", "AMERICAN LEATHER PRODUCTS","1942". All original and period correct, this is a great US Army Officers uniform grouping, belonging to a Colonel.
This type of uniform was worn by the US Army army officers during the D-Day invasion in Normandy.
